Mob in Med!
The Jeunesses Med network, the Réseau Euromed France, in partnership with Mana Chuma Teatro are pleased to announce the launch of Mob in Med!
The Mob in Med! project brings together 22 young Euro-Mediterranean people to build an awareness and advocacy campaign around the obstacles to mobility faced by young people in the region.
The origins of the project
The Mob in Med! project was born out of an observation made by the Réseau Euromed France (REF), because in the regional activities it carries out, the REF has witnessed the many obstacles to mobility.

The origins of the project
The Mob in Med! project was born out of an observation made by the Réseau Euromed France (REF), because in the regional activities it carries out, the REF has witnessed the many obstacles to mobility.
Each year, through the Jeunesses Med network, REF organizes a meeting that brings together 80 young people involved in civil society from 17 countries in the region. The meeting is held in one of the cities around the Mediterranean so that young people can share their experiences, discover a Mediterranean country and its associative fabric, and forge links and collaborations between themselves. Every year, however, organizing this event is a real obstacle course. At the last Rencontre organized in partnership with Mana Chuma Teatro, for example, one Turkish, two Syrian, three Lebanese and three Tunisian participants were unable to travel to Reggio Calabria, as they were unable to obtain their visas. Two participants from Gaza were also unable to attend the meeting due to the conflict situation in the Middle East.
With this in mind, REF, Jeunesses Med and Mana Chuma Teatro have decided to use this campaign to illustrate what it means to move around when you're young in the Mediterranean. Our aim is to illustrate the state of youth mobility in the Mediterranean, to show what obstacles young people face, but also to demonstrate the positive aspects of mobility for young people in the region.
Stakeholders
The Mob in Med! project is being built by and for young people. Indeed, a group of 22 young people, aged 18 to 35, was selected following a call for applications. This group is made up of 16 young people from 4 European countries (France, Italy, Malta, Greece) and 6 young people from 6 countries on the southern shore of the Mediterranean (Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Jordan, Palestine) involved in civil society in their countries (members of associations, associative media, individual project leaders, etc.). They will be involved in every stage of the campaign's construction.

Workshops
This group of 22 young people will take part in a cycle of workshops including:
- A Kickoff Meeting
- A workshop to define the campaign's editorial line
- An advocacy workshop
- A communication and dissemination workshop
- A 3-day workshop in Reggio Calabria
Deliverables
The end result of this awareness-raising and advocacy campaign will be the creation of a graphic and educational booklet, featuring the testimonies of young Euro-Mediterraneans on the obstacles to mobility they face in the region. Four videos with a regional focus will also be produced by the young people and broadcast.
Stay tuned for the next stages of the project!
