This meeting was held in Casablanca from 3 to 5 April 2017, in partnership with the Moroccan Euromed Network of NGOs and ONORIENT.

With 72 participants from 14 different countries (Algeria, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Tunisia), it alternated thematic workshops (Employment-Training-Decent Work/Mobility-Free Movement/Art-Culture/Citizenship-Media), an awareness-raising time dedicated to social and climate justice, visits to local associations, and ended with a public debate that brought together more than one hundred people.

Raising awareness
general public

The objective of these three days was to draw up a shared diagnosis and to raise awareness among the general public and institutional actors on the issues and challenges facing young people in the Mediterranean, but also to nourish, strengthen and develop the skills and work carried out by each organisation in the field. Finally, one of the aims of this meeting was to raise awareness among the general public and to build advocacy campaigns around the different issues that concern young people.

The participatory method chosen to facilitate this meeting enabled the participants to be fully involved in the meeting, to feed the exchanges and to encourage partnerships. The presence of participants (some of whom showed us around their associations) - with different profiles and commitments - also contributed greatly.
