REF - Réseau Euromed France launches Mob in Med! a project run by REF through its Réseau Jeunesse Med.
Faced with the growing obstacles to young people's mobility in the Mediterranean, REF decided, in collaboration with Mana Chuma Teatro, its main partner, to initiate a line of work to raise awareness of these issues.
Our work and experience highlight different aspects of meeting young people's expectations, involvement and choice. Obstacles to mobility within and between countries in the Mediterranean area are among the main obstacles to international and local cooperation. Visa issues and related infrastructures are emblematic examples.
The aim of the project will be to launch an awareness-raising and advocacy campaign aimed at drafting an advocacy document on the obstacles to youth mobility in the Mediterranean. The campaign will be based on participants' experiences and testimonials, as well as a graphic booklet, videos and recommendations.
The cycle of activities will be based on an action-training program that includes :
- 3 online workshops (one in December, one in January, one in February) provided by REF and its partner Mana Chuma Teatro, on advocacy methods, communication tools...
- 1 meeting in Reggio Calabria (early May) where participants will take part in a wide range of activities such as workshops, meetings with local associations, creation of communication tools, etc.
REF and Mana Chuma Teatro are looking for 22 active young people from the Mediterranean to take part in the creation of this advocacy campaign on the obstacles to mobility encountered by young people in the region.
