The participants, the wealth of diversity
In total, the meeting brought together nearly 80 participants, aged between 18 and 35, from France, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, Yemen and Iraq.
This four-day meeting was structured around workshops, meetings with local associations, cultural events and a debate aimed at raising awareness among the general public. It was co-constructed with the support of a dozen local actors (associations, citizen media, artists and cultural operators).
The objectives of the Marseille meeting were to continue the development of this network of young people, to lay the foundations for two collective productions that will promote the voice of young people throughout the year (a publication on Mediterranean Youth to be published in 2022 as well as a cycle of podcasts), to produce 10 portrait capsules of young people, and to redefine the governance of the network by strengthening the involvement of the participants in its management.
